Cette pièce se caractérise par des bandes horizontales de motifs et de textures, avec une bande bleu profond prédominante au centre. Au-dessus et en dessous de cette bande bleue se trouvent des motifs décoratifs, comprenant un motif en noir et blanc élégant et rythmé en haut, et des volutes complexes en relief blanc en bas, reflétant l'ornementation classique. Le contraste entre les formes audacieuses et simplifiées et les motifs ornementaux détaillés met en évidence la capacité de Lichtenstein à juxtaposer modernité et tradition.
