Wat is het Laat-modernisme?
Late Modernisme verwijst naar de voortzetting en evolutie van modernistische principes in kunst, architectuur en literatuur van het midden van de 20e eeuw tot in de late 20e eeuw. Deze beweging blijft zich richten op vorm, abstractie en de afwijzing van traditionele stijlen, maar omvat vaak meer complexiteit en ambiguïteit vergeleken met het vroege modernisme. Late Modernisme verkent thema's als vervreemding, identiteit en de fragmentatie van de werkelijkheid, en weerspiegelt de sociale en culturele verschuivingen van de naoorlogse periode. Dit is te zien in het werk van architecten zoals Louis Kahn en kunstenaars zoals Francis Bacon, die de grenzen van het modernisme verlegden terwijl ze reageerden op de veranderende wereld om hen heen.
