Hard and soft-ground etching, drypoint, and engraving in colors , hand enchanted by the artist with watercolor and crayon - printed by Atelier Crommelynck, Paris and published by Aldo Crommelynck, Paris. // Jim Dine’s Nancy Outside in July is a richly layered and expressive mixed media print that combines etching, drypoint, engraving, watercolor, and crayon. The composition centers on a woman’s face, likely Nancy, emerging from a vibrant and textured array of flowers. The hand-colored details enhance the organic forms of the blossoms, while the loose, delicate lines of the etching create a dreamlike quality. Dine’s choice of colors, soft pastels against more defined dark lines, brings a sense of both realism and abstraction. The image feels both personal and poetic, with the figure's face appearing calm yet contemplative among the surrounding natural elements. Printed by Atelier Crommelynck and published by Aldo Crommelynck in Paris, this work is a powerful example of Dine's ability to combine technical skill with emotional depth in his portraits.
