// Antoni Clavé's Feuilles I, created in 1975, is a mixed media print that explores texture and form through an evocative blue-toned palette. This artwork, measuring 56 by 76 cm, combines abstract elements with subtle botanical motifs, such as leaves and organic shapes, which float within a dark, layered background. The composition is complex, featuring overlapping shapes and textured marks, enhanced by the monochromatic blue, which creates a somber yet contemplative mood. Circular and linear forms add rhythm and structure, leading the viewer's eye across the piece. With an edition size of 75, plus additional PA and HC copies, Feuilles I reflects Clavé’s skill in blending natural elements with abstraction, resulting in an artwork that is both visually rich and conceptually layered.

What is minimalism?
Minimalism is a style in music and visual arts characterized by pared-down designs and simplicity. It began in Western art after World War II, gaining prominence particularly in American visual arts. Minimalism draws heavily on aspects of modernism and is often viewed as a reaction against Abstract Expressionism, as well as a precursor to post-minimal art practices. Prominent minimalist artists include Agnes Martin, Donald Judd, Robert Morris, Frank Stella, and Dan Flavin.
