Original lithograph on acetate and Velin Arches paper - Published by Petersburg Press London - Suite: The Picture of Dorian Gray - Hand Signed by Dine // Jim Dine's Hose Lamp (1968) is a limited edition lithograph on acetate and Velin Arches paper, part of The Picture of Dorian Gray suite published by Petersburg Press in London. The artwork features a simplistic, almost whimsical representation of a hose ending in a bright yellow bulb, creating a visual interplay between function and light. The minimalistic and abstract approach, with its fluid linework and bold use of color, emphasizes the lamp’s bright illumination. The playful, childlike rendering of light bulbs at the end of the hose adds a sense of humor and creativity, highlighting Dine’s ability to transform everyday objects into imaginative artistic expressions. The piece is hand-signed by the artist.

What is Neo-Dada?
Neo-Dada is a minor visual and audio art movement with intents similar to those of Dada artwork. While it revives some of Dada's objectives, Neo-Dada emphasizes the importance of the produced artwork rather than the concept behind it. The movement is considered the foundation of Pop Art, Nouveau Réalisme, and Fluxus. Neo-Dada is known for its use of absurdist contrasts, popular imagery, and modern materials, blending high and low culture in a way that challenges traditional artistic conventions.
