3D changing picture on plexi, hand-signed, numbered // View of Boats on Lake below Mt. Fuji by Julian Opie, a 2009 inkjet print, captures a serene Japanese landscape with modern minimalism. The artwork presents Mount Fuji in the background, shrouded in soft gradients of blue and white, symbolizing tranquility and timeless beauty. In the foreground, reeds frame a calm lake where a solitary boat glides peacefully. Birds fly overhead, adding movement to the stillness of the scene. Opie’s clean lines and restrained palette evoke traditional Japanese prints, while his contemporary style infuses a fresh, simplified perspective that honors yet modernizes classic aesthetics.

What is new British Sculpture?
New British Sculpture is the name referring to the work produced by a group of sculptors, installation artists, and other creators who exhibited together in London during the 1980s. This group included artists like Richard Deacon, Richard Wentworth, and Tony Cragg. Tim Woods helped define this movement by identifying four major themes: the blending of kitsch and pop culture, the use of UK urban waste in a bricolage style, the assignment of new meanings to everyday objects, and a playful approach using wit and humor.
