Embossed screenprint on Arches cover paper - Signed in pencil by Julia Gruen (Executor of the Keith HaringEstate), dated '6/28/90' and numbered on the stamped Certificate of Authenticity verso // Keith Haring’s Barking Dog (from White Icons), created in 1990, is an embossed screenprint on Arches cover paper. This limited edition work is part of a series of iconic white-on-white images, representing one of Haring’s most recognizable motifs: the barking dog. The embossed outline of the dog, with its jagged, angular body and open mouth, captures both the simplicity and energy that define Haring’s art. The minimalist aesthetic, achieved through embossing, allows the form to emerge subtly from the surface, emphasizing the symbolic and playful nature of the image. This work is signed by Julia Gruen, the executor of Haring's estate, further certifying its authenticity.

What is East Village Art?
In 1981, Patti Astor opened the first art gallery in New York City's East Village, helping to launch the careers of various artists and musicians. The gallery started small but quickly gained popularity, contributing to the emergence of art movements such as Neo-Expressionism and Street Art in the area. The East Village became a hub for these new artistic expressions. However, the gallery closed in 1985 due to waning interest.
