// The artwork titled Face With Circles R140 by Pablo Picasso, created in 1969, is a ceramic piece that features a unique, slightly distorted cylindrical shape. Painted on this white earthenware, Picasso uses bold strokes of green, blue, and terracotta tones to create an abstract, expressive face motif. The circular shapes and flowing lines give the vessel a playful, almost cartoon-like character, emphasizing Picasso’s exploration of ceramics as a form of sculptural and functional art. Standing 11.5 inches tall and 7 inches wide, this piece demonstrates Picasso's ability to transform everyday objects into expressive art pieces, merging fine art with craft.

What is Cubism?

Cubism is an art movement that aimed to depict multiple perspectives of objects or figures within a single picture. Artists Georges Braque and Pablo Picasso pioneered this style around 1907. The name Cubism emerged from their use of geometric shapes and outlines that often resembled cubes, breaking objects down into abstracted forms.
