Ellsworth Kelly (USA, 1923–2015) was a celebrated painter, sculptor, and printmaker, known for his minimalist, abstract works. Emphasizing form, color, and space, Kelly’s bold, geometric compositions broke from traditional representation. What is minimalism?
Minimalism is a style in music and visual arts characterized by pared-down designs and simplicity. It began in Western art after World War II, gaining prominence particularly in American visual arts.
