Tal R is an Israeli-born artist, but is based on Copenhagen. Tal R moved to Denmark with his family when at the age of one, and began his art career there. He began his studies at Billedskolen in Copenhagen, and also spent time studying his craft at the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts.

« I do painting a bit like people make a lunch box. I constantly have this hot-pot boiling and I throw all kinds of material into it. »
Tal R
Tal R's creative interpretation of art has been described as kolbojnik, which is a word in the Hebrew language that translates to mean "jack of all trades." The term can also be used to mean "leftovers," since Tal R often uses unique materials to create his paintings.

between being a child and becoming an artist. »

What is Naive Art?

What is Naive Art?

Naïve art describes a style of artwork that is simple and unsophisticated, often created by artists without formal training in an academy or art school. The style is characterized by a lack of advanced techniques, giving it a childlike appearance. Naïve art often features bright colors, simple shapes, and a straightforward approach to subject matter, reflecting the artist's untrained perspective.
