Tal R is an Israeli-born artist, but is based on Copenhagen. Tal R moved to Denmark with his family when at the age of one, and began his art career there. He began his studies at Billedskolen in Copenhagen, and also spent time studying his craft at the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts. Tal R's creative interpretation of art has been described as kolbojnik, which is a word in the Hebrew language that translates to mean "jack of all trades." The term can also be used to mean "leftovers," since Tal R often uses unique materials to create his paintings. Tal R has showcased his artwork in several exhibition around the world, such as the Bicycle Thieves exhibition at Chicago's Beret International Gallery and the House of Prince exhibition at Dublin's Douglas Hyde Gallery. Pertti Niemisto Art Foundation in Finland and London's Royal Academy of Art have also featured the paintings of Tal R. (Artist website)
