Antonio Saura

Antonio Saura (b. 1930 Spain, d. 1998 Spain) was a prominent Spanish painter and writer, recognized as one of the leading figures in European abstract expressionism. Saura's work is characterized by its intense emotional depth, powerful gestural brushstrokes, and a dark, often monochromatic palette.
